For those who just want the highlights, the single-CD edition combines classic hits (Dance to the Music; Everyday People; Hot Fun in the Summertime; Family Affair; Thank You Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin; If You Want Me To Stay, and a live Isle of Wight performance of Stand!) with rare and unreleased material (What’s That Got to Do with Me; I Remember, and more). That disc includes a 24-page booklet, while the sets include a 104-page book packed with notes, track-by-track annotations, rare and unseen photos, posters, recording documents and other memorabilia. The LPs are 180-gram audiophile vinyl pressed at RTI, and the vinyl boxes are individually numbered. Both sets come in deluxe packaging and include everything on the highlights disc plus a wealth of mono single mixes (M’Lady; Everybody Is a Star; Runnin’ Away; Sing a Simple Song), live recordings (You Can Make It if You Try; Dance to the Music, and a medley of Music Lover/I Want to Take You Higher/Music Lover), rare instrumentals (My Woman’s Head; Undercat; Wonderful World of Color; Feathers), studio outtakes, Sly solo songs and his early recordings as Sly Stewart, cuts they released as the French Fries (including Danse a la Musique) and more including 17 unreleased tracks.
